Issues Briefing – Huge Success!

July 16, 2026

Steve Mac Donald

Tuesday, July 14th, about 100 people gathered at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord for some top-shelf, fast-paced policy instructions. The 603 Alliance Issues Briefing Summit invites subject-matter experts to educate future legislators on the state of New Hampshire, its legislative successes, how to articulate those on the campaign trail, and what needs to happen next.

Our goal is a smaller, limited constitutional government, and the issues briefing connects leaders with our trainees so they can help advance it. Last night, we took a great big step forward toward that goal.

Our speakers and topics included,

  • Majority Leader Jason Osborne – NH Advantage
  • Sarah Scott – Education Choice
  • Dan McGuire – Education Funding
  • JR Hoell – Second Amendment
  • Speaker Pro Tem Jim Kofalt – Health Freedom
  • Rep. JD Bernardy – Energy/Electricity Costs
  • Rep. Joe Alexander – Housing Zoning/State Perspective
  • Rep. Dr. Pam Brown – Housing Zoning/Local Perspective
  • Rep. Ross Berry – Election Integrity
  • Rep. Lisa Mazur – Social Issues
  • Dr. Debra Childs – Family Court/DCYF
  • Rep. Carol McGuire- Free Markets/Compacts/Licensing

Our trainees, the program, Moderator Jeff Chidester, and our fearless leader, Deb Hobson.

Moreover, the learning continues as we connect our NH House Candidate trainees to resources and information that will help them communicate with their constituents about why New Hampshire is number one in so many categories, how we got here, and how we cannot just stay here, but improve on what number one means.

From public safety and low poverty, to the lowest total tax burden in the country, increasing health freedoms, and policies that make the Granite State the most business-friendly in the region, and increasingly, the nation.

New Hampshire is the freest state for education options and was recently recognized as the best state to move to by Consumer Affairs. Why?

“The Granite State ranks among the top states in several categories: It is second overall for safety and quality of life, and third in the healthcare and education category. Plus, New Hampshire does not collect state sales tax or individual income tax from its residents. Such well-rounded metrics — and a 2.8% unemployment rate, the fourth lowest in the country — make the state attractive to movers.”

That happened because of larger Republican majorities in the legislature and a governor willing to advance more of their pro-human-flourishing policies.

But we still have work to do, and the 603 Alliance, now in its eleventh year, continues to find, educate, and support the kinds of Republicans who will help advance the promise of our Nation’s Founders and uphold and defend the US and New Hampshire Constitutions.

Great event. Great speakers, Great Candidates.

Thank you to everyone who is running for elected office and taking on support roles to not just protect the Republican majority in the NH House but also expand it.
